Engineer, accounting and finance person, crafter, blogger, camper, DIY home improver, wife and mother. These are all the hats I wear on a daily basis. I know I am not alone in wearing multiple hats!! This blog is dedicated to exploring and sharing all the different aspects of life that make it great and a little crazy!
Engineering and Finance
Engineering and finance are my day jobs. They have brought me experiences beyond my wildest expectations. I have worked in refineries, analyzed millions of lines of data, helped perform business process improvement analyses for the military, worked as a Government Contractor supporting many different functions, started my own business supporting small businesses and finally running an office with eight attorneys and eight paralegals and staff.
Hobbies and Crafting
There are so many things that fulfill my soul – camping with my family, doing yard work, gardening, sewing, scrapbooking, cooking and exercise. The work that I do to earn money revolves around computers all day. When I leave the office, I have the urge to make things with my hands. No more looking at the screen! When I am able to make something concrete, it is so satisfying!
DIY Home Improver
My husband and I recently purchased and 1966 home that is largely original. While some of the features of this vintage home are fun, we do need to update a lot! We really enjoy trying home projects on our own and will be sharing tips, tricks and failures!
Other Tidibts
A few other random things I would like to share about myself: after college, I traveled through Europe with my backpack for two months! It was exhilarating. I love to travel, find new places and discover places that are out of the ordinary.
My family is my life. I lost my father when I was eleven. I am raising two girls with a wonderful husband and am very close to my siblings and mother. They are who I work for, live for and create for.
