These high protein energy balls are the most versatile, easy to make and goes anywhere snack that my family adores! The flavor is similar to chocolate chip cookie dough and the ingredients are so much better!!
These little snacks go to volleyball tournaments, camping, traveling to see family and so much more! The best part is that I can freeze them and just take them out when we need them. However, they don’t usually get to spend much time in our freezer because we want to eat them all the time!
You can vary the ingredients based on what you have on hand – sometimes they get coconut, sometimes they get cinnamon. If the chocolate chips are all gone, butterscotch chips or toffee bits can be a good substitute! We don’t keep much peanut butter around anymore, but we always have almond butter – and that tastes incredible too!
You will NEED to have a food processor for this recipe! And if you don’t have one already, you probably should get one! It is one of my two favorite small appliances in my kitchen. The other is my Vitamix – but that is for another day! I have a Kitchen Aid food processor and it is AMAZING!
Give these snacks a try. You won’t regret it, I promise!!

These look tasty! I will have to have my husband make up a batch. He’s a runner and something like this could be really helpful on long runs. He also likes to go out fishing and a snack like these protein balls would be perfect for an afternoon on the river.
